Hello, Bee friends. It’s Bobbi Lemanski decking the halls one last time before Christmas. I’m ringing bells and putting up “merry” banners in preparation for the holidays. I’m sharing a 5″ X 7″ card and a coordinating gift tag that I’ll be adding to “deck” out one of my gifts. I hope you like the duo.

I’m using the following Honey Bee Stamps products:

Lovely Layers: Winter Greenery – Honey Cuts

Layering Holiday Bells – Honey Cuts

Foil Script: Holiday Hot Foil Plate and Honey Cuts

Holly Jolly Background stamp set

Home for the Holidays stamp set and coordinating dies (did not use the dies on these projects)

Sleigh Bells Ring stamp set and coordinating dies

Giddy for Gingham Paper Pad and the Make It Merry Paper Pad

The featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I used Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue for adhering my elements together and Bee Creative Clear Embossing and Watermark Ink Pad for all heat embossing.

Deck the Halls Wreath Card

For my card, I stamped the Holly Jolly Background stamp on an ink-blended background using my Bee Creative Brilliant White Ink. For the blended blues, I used Distress Oxide Inks in Unchartered Mariner, Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon and some Black Soot around the edges. Before stamping on the ink-blend, I splattered water over the top to lift some of the ink for a splotchy, imperfect look.

For the wreath, I cut a number of mistletoe stems from the Lovely Layers: Winter Greenery – Honey Cuts set from a warm gray and white cardstock and arranged them in circular fashion (alternating the colors) to create the wreath shape. I attached them using Bee Creative Precision Glue and splattered them with some blue watercolor paints. I let the splatters fall on the blue background, too. Berries, colored in Copic Marker reds and yellows (R89, R29, R24, R14 and YR31) were added to the wreath stems. A pretty bow (from the Layering Holiday Bells – Honey Cuts) and a “merry” banner (from the Sleigh Bells Ring stamp set and coordinating dies) were attached to the top and center of the wreath. I used a gingham pattern paper from the Giddy for Gingham pad for the bow. I chose this beautiful orange-red gingham because it was such a nice complement to the blue background. For the banner, I colored in the individual pennants using YR31, YR21, and YR24 Copic colors, giving is a warm, golden appearance to coordinate with the berries and gingham.

The wording design of the Holly Jolly Background stamp is less than 7″ long so I added a band of Giddy for Gingham Paper edged with 1/8″ strips of white cardstock to the lower portion of the 5″ X 7″ panel. This will be a great place for my sentiments.

To finish off the card, I heat embossed the phrase, “Deck the Halls” from the Home for the Holidays stamp set. I also foiled the “Merry Script” holiday script in red foil on white cardstock using the Foil Script: Holiday Hot Foil Plate and Honey Cuts set and attached it using Bee Creative White Foam Dots to make it stand out. Gold Glimmer Enamel Stickers were added to the bow center and wreath for added sparkle.

Christmas Bell Holiday Tag

This charming bell tag uses many of the same products used in the card above. I had leftover inked/stamped blue cardstock that I used for the tag base. I added an extra gingham piece to the top. I added various Winter Greenery stems cut from white and warm gray cardstock.

The Layering Holiday Bell was cut from warm grey and white cardstock, assembled and splattered with metallic gold and white watercolor paints. I added a shadow to the inside of the bell using Copics in W5, W3 and W1 colors. The bell’s clapper was colored using 100, C10, C8 and C5 and C3. I added red gem stickers to the bell design for extra sparkle and detail. The bow was made from a pattern paper from the Make It Merry Pad. Lastly, I heat embossed in white, the “Warmest Wishes” phrase from the Home for the Holidays stamp set and added a gold string to the tag at the top.
