Hi there! Emily Midgett here with you today for some more Clean and Simple Holiday Inspiration! This week has had some absolutely fabulous inspiration for the more minimalist cardmakers among us, or maybe for those who are just wanting something that is more easily mass-produced! I have a fairly simple, but super colorful, holiday card to share with you today, so let’s get started with the details!

I am really loving rainbow holiday cards lately. Bright, happy cards remind me of my childhood and those beautiful colored Christmas lights (that just aren’t the same in LED form). This card’s main attraction lies in the stenciled background. I used the Snowfall Stencil and Blender Brushes to blend a beautiful, bright rainbow of snowflakes on a panel of white A2 cardstock. While the stencil was still in place, I spritzed the background with some iridescent shimmer spray, but it would be really pretty to add some iridescent glimmer paste over the top, too! I was going more for speed for Clean and Simple Week. 😉

To allow the pretty background to remain the focus, I die cut a Scalloped Square Gift Tag die from some heavyweight vellum. I then die cut the Merry Lights sentiment from some white glitter cardstock, adding the “and” from the Merry Lights stamp set.

I adhered the scalloped sentiment tag to the sparkling card front using tiny dots of adhesive, then added a small white bow. The final touch was to add some sparkling gems.

Simple, but colorful, and easily mailed!

Well, that’s all for me today! Thanks so much for dropping by, and have a marvelous weekend!
