Hello friends! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio here today with this scene card. The bunch of Honey Bee Stamps characters are decorating the tree (well, except the kitty who is just being…well,…a kitty!). This card is very simple to make. You just need to stamp, color and die cut the elements you want to include in the scene!

Here are the stamps and die I used:
Snow Buddies: Snowman and his accessories & bunny
Oh My Whiskers: Kitties
Gingerbread House Add On: Gingerbread guy, Santa hat, peppermint candy, Christmas lights, star, and snowflakes
Winter: die cuts and ‘warm’ and ‘wishes’ words
Stacking Pines: Tree
*Products above are all linked to the Honey Bee Stamps shop. Feel free to check them out!

I stamped all the images on a piece of Bristol Smooth card stock in gray waterproof ink and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. After everything was colored, I cut them out with the coordinating Honey Cuts dies. For the gingerbread guy, I die cut him from watercolor card stock, colored with watercolor, then white heat emboss the coordinating image. The tree pieces (there are three layering pieces to make the tree dimensional) too were cut from watercolor card stock and colored with watercolor. After they were completely dry, I added white paint splatters to mimic the snow. Then I layered the pieces using foam tapes.

For the background, I did a very simple wash of diluted black watercolor and added white paint splatters for snow. Then I die cut it with the largest die in the A7 Double Stitched Frames die set and layered it on the scalloped base cut from the Scallop A7 die. I added white heat embossed snowflakes after assembled everything (I knew it was risky, but I felt the left side needed something). I added yellow ink behind the star with a little blending tool. The snowy hill was cut from the same watercolor card stock. The ‘WARM’ and ‘WISHES’ were heat embossed on the piece of card stock I quickly watercolored.

Now we have everything ready to be put together! I popped up some of the elements with foam tapes to make this scene a little more dimensional.

Now on to the final touches. Here are the list of things I added (honestly, I always have to stop myself for adding more and more!)
Nuvo Glitter Accents (in Fresh Snowfall) to the snowy hill, tree, and ‘Winter’ die cut
Glossy accents to the ornaments, star, and the carrot nose
Glitter to the peppermint candy
Black gel pen to the eyes

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful week!!
