Hello, fellow cardmakers!! I just love all doggie products…just like I love dogs!! I’m the girl that has to pet ALL the pups!! We have two sweet golden retrievers, but I fell in love with the dalmation in the Puppy Dog Tails Stamp Set!! The way he is holding his paw up goes so perfectly with the “Can I lend a paw?” sentiment from the Friends Furever Stamp Set, don’t you think?!!

To begin, I stamped the dalmation from the Puppy Dog Tails Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Intense Black Ink. After coloring him with Copic markers, I cut him out with the Coordinating Honey Cut.

For the background, I used one of the stencils in the Friends Furever Stencil Set. (I apologize, it seems that this stencil is no longer available in the shop.) I used strips of tape to mask off the paws, then blended Festive Berries Distress Oxide Ink onto the hearts with a blending brush. Then I peeled the tape off and once the hearts were dry, I masked them off and blended Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink onto the paws, again using a blending brush. (You could achieve the same background by using a paw and heart stamp.) I trimmed the panel slightly and added it to a red cardstock panel, then a white top-folding card base.

Next, I die-cut two hearts from red and black cardstock using the Stacking Hearts Honey Cuts. I ran the red one through my die-cut machine with the Fluttering Hearts Pierced Coverplate, to add some texture. The hearts were adhered together with Bee Creative Precision Glue, then popped up onto the front of the card with foam tape. The dalmation was adhered to the hearts, also with foam adhesive. The sentiment, from Friends Furever, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, then cut out with its Coordinating Die. This stamp set is a must-have for animal lovers!! It has so many clever punny sentiments!! I also popped the die-cut sentiment up with foam tape over the bottom of the heart, using a double layer where needed. A black glaze pen adds a little shine to the eyes and nose of the pup and this one was done!!

I can’t wait to use the other pups in the Puppy Dog Tails Set!! They’re all sooooo adorable!!

Thanks so much for spending a bit of your day with me!! Have a great week and I’ll see you next Tuesday!!

Brenda
