Hello there, Honey Bee friends!! I hope you had a great holiday weekend!!! We did a lot of work around the house…trimming shrubs and lots of powerwashing. I’m exhausted, but it feels so good to have it done!!

I have a fun birthday card to share today that combines a couple of new stamp sets with some older cover plate dies!! Plus, it’s in rainbow colors…always a win, am I right?

I began by stamping a couple of the bee images from Happy Beeday with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored them with Copics and cut them out with the Coordinating Dies.

For the background, I ink-blended Distress Oxide Inks onto an A2 size panel of Bristol smooth cardstock with Blending Brushes. I used Festive Berries, Ripe Persimmon, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon and Dusty Concord.

The Hexagon Top Cover Plate and Hexagon Stipple Cover Plate Dies were cut from white cardstock and adhered over the rainbow background. (You can get all four Stacking Hexagon Cover Plates for a discounted price!!)

For the sentiment, “buzz” was cut from yellow and black cardstock using the Buzz Honey Cuts. “Buzzing by to say happy birthday” was white heat embossed onto black cardstock strips with the Buzz Stamp Set.

The greeting and the bees were adhered with foam adhesive and I was finished!!

I am thrilled with how this turned out and plan to make more for upcoming birthdays!!

Thanks for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful week and I’ll see you next Tuesday!!!!

Brenda
