Hello crafty friends! Leanne here and I have a fun birthday card to share today which features a custom built robot. The Build-A-Bot stamp set made it easy to create a cute little robot scene. I choose bright primary colors to make this card suitable for a boy but you could always change up the colors to pastels or pink and purples for a girl.

My card today is A2 size. First I had to decide on all the parts to build the robot. The possibilities are endless with the Build-A-Bot set. Once I made my decision, I Copic colored the parts and the gear shaped balloons. (Y32,Y35,Y38, R14, R27, BG01, B05)

After die cutting all the parts with the coordinating Build-A-Bot Honey cuts, I arranged them onto a panel of white card stock trimmed to 2.75″ wide by 5.5″ tall. I drew lines with ruler for the balloon strings. I added two sentiments from Gear Up and some sequins from the Birthday Bash Mix.

The In Gear Stencils helped me create a super cute pattern of two-toned gears to compliment my little robot scene. I used Mermaid Lagoon and Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide inks with a Background Blender Brush to stencil the gears. To complete the card, I added a skinny strip of grey card stock to left side of the robot panel and then it layered over top the stenciled gears panel.
