Hi there! Emily Midgett here with you today with some springy inspiration using the Everything Wonderful stamps and dies! I am seeing signs of spring everywhere (in spite of the crummy “wintry mix” days we’ve had this week), and I needed to translate that into card form. I also wanted an excuse to play with the new Karin markers, now available in the Honey Bee Stamps shop, so I sat down and got to work!

I started by stamping the main image from Everything Wonderful onto some watercolor paper using a very pale gray ink for some no-line watercoloring. I kept the color palette bright and springy, with lots of coral, peach, and lime-y greens, with a touch of hot pink thrown in for good measure! I used so many markers to add lots of layers of color to these blooms that I don’t even know which markers I used! Those Karin markers sure do pack a vibrant punch!

After I’d finished watercoloring the image, I used the coordinating Honey Cuts to cut it out. I also die cut a bright coral frame using the Hexagon Solid Stack dies, as well as a vellum backer. I adhered the die cut floral swag to the top using some extra sticky adhesive, then popped them up on an A2 peach card base using foam adhesive.

For the greeting, I white embossed a sentiment from Awesome Sauce onto some vibrant pink cardstock, then fussy cut around the edges. I added it to the framed vellum hexagon die cut, then finally added a few Cupcake Rhinestones for some sparkle.

Well, that’s all for me today! Maybe if we keep coloring flowers, we can will spring into existence? Hmm… Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous weekend!
