Birthday Wishes featuring The Bee’s Knees Embossing Powder Trio
Good morning Honey Bee friends!! I hope your week is off to a great start!!
This week, the design team is featuring projects created with a NEW set of embossing powders called The Bee’s Knees Embossing Powder Trio!! It’s a new set of WOW! Embossing Powders designed exclusively for Honey Bee Stamps by Honey Bee and the WOW! team in a collaborative effort. The trio is made up of three gorgeous colors that match the Bee’s Knees products. The embossing powder set will be available on Wednesday, June 19 in the store. There will also be a giveaway on the Honey Bee Instagram page as well as two live videos sharing the new items. Watch for these events this week!
Let’s get started!! I LOVE the beautiful color combo created with these embossing powders!!
I began by heat embossing images from the Busy Bee stamp set onto Bristol paper – the flowers with Bee Sweet; leaves with Bee Kind and Bees with Bee True. I also filled in the centers of the flowers with a Versamark Pen and Bee True embossing powder. I watercolored all of the images with Zigs and cut them out with the Coordinating Honey Cuts. For the greeting, “wishes” was cut from white cardstock and vellum using the Wish Honey Cuts. The white die-cut was covered with three layers of Bee True embossing powder. For the background, I used a sheet of pattern paper from the Bee’s Knees Paper Pad and cut it out with the largest of the Scallop A2 Card Frames Honey Cuts. “Birthday”, from the Wish stamp set, was white heat embossed onto an aqua strip to match my background. All of the elements were popped up with foam adhesive for lots of dimension. A few of the Bee’s Knees Enamel Dot Stickers were the perfect finishing touch!!
I just LOVE the color combo of these powders and how well they work with the other Bee’s Knees products!! In fact, next week’s project may have a similar color scheme!!
