Happy September Honey Bee friends! Today I’m sharing a card on which I tried to use as many of the Lovely Layers sets as I could! Haha! I ended up using four of the Lovely Layers sets, including the newest Lovely Layers: Sunflower that is part of the Autumn Splendor release. I made a 5″ x 7″ card for lots of layering fun!

These are the beautiful sets I used today: Lovely Layers: Sunflowers; Lovely Layers: Coneflower; Lovely Layers: Easter Lily; and Lovely Layers: Heart Vine. I love how these work together so well! First I die cut all of the pieces from 80# Neenah Solar White card stock. Then I used a few Background Blender Brushes and various inks from my stash to color the pieces. You could definitely use Distress Inks to color these too!

Next I used Bee Creative glue to adhere all of the flower layers together. While the glue was drying, I made my 5″ x 7″ card base and adhered a panel I die cut with the largest A7 Double Stitched Frames Honey Cut. I actually remembered to stamp my sentiment inside the card before adhering the flowers on the front! Yay me! Haha! I used sentiments from the Bitty Buzzwords and Inside: Birthday Sentiments and stamped them with Intense Black ink. You could also stamp and then die cut the sentiments with the coordinating Bitty Buzzwords and Inside: Birthday Sentiments Honey Cuts.

Next I stamped the sentiment for the card front with Intense Black ink. I love how the Inside: Birthday Sentiments also work for the outside of the card! I die cut the sentiment with the coordinating Honey Cut.

Next I arranged my flowers and leaves on my card front, fussing around a bit with them till I was happy. I did snip the Lovely Layers: Heart Vine into pieces to tuck them in around the arrangement. I adhered everything to the card with Bee Creative glue or a few foam squares.

I used just a small piece of a thin foam strip to attached the sentiment. Then I felt like I needed a few extra details on my flowers. I used a coordinating fine point marker on the sunflower center to highlight the etched lines from the die. I did the same with a matching pencil for the coneflower. I used Copic YR12 to add little dots on the lily. Then I added some Ripened Pumpkin Nuvo Drops to the stamen of the lily. I added some sparkle to the other flower centers with a clear glitter pen.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my process for my card today and that I’ve inspired you to give this a try! Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful, crafty week!
