Beers for Dad, a Giveaway and Sale : Honey Bee Stamps

Hello! It’s Bobbi Lemanski here with four beers for Dad and a giveaway and sale for you! Today, I’ll be sharing cards for the men you love that could be used for Father’s day, birthdays and more. Home brewing (and enjoying a craft beer) has become a very popular hobby with men, making these beer cards a fitting choice. I’ll be using a set called, Father’s Day on all four of my cards. This set along with its coordinating die set will be given away to one lucky winner. Details are below so make sure to read how to enter. Father’s Day stamp and die sets

To make the beer glass for all four cards, I used the Coffee Cup Card die set and simply snipped off the cover’s corners as shown here. How simple is that? It’s a great way to get more options out of this coffee cup die, too!

Coolest. Dad. Ever Card

This 5″ X 7″ card serves up one full and refreshing glass of beer for the coolest dad ever. I colored the beer using the following Copic colors: Y28, Y26, Y38, Y19, Y15 and Y04. I also used some cool grays (C1 and C3) colors to color the glass.

The phrase from the Father’s Day stamp set was heat embossed in white on black cardstock and attached with black dimensional tabs. I used Liquid applique to create the froth on top and a white gel pen for the bubbles. The pattern paper on the bottom is from the Back to Basics 6″ X 6″ paper pad. Accent strips in 1/8″ size were added to the bottom for a bit of color to this very easy card.

No Stout About It Card

This slimline card measuring 3-1/2″ wide X 8-1/2″ tall boasts one big, dark stout beer. For this card, I used the following Copic colors to create the beer: E49, E47, E57, C1, E51, E50, YR31. C1 and C3 were used for the glass.

I highlighted the glass using my white gel pen. I also sponged a little white chalk ink down the right side for dimension and sheen. The letters were cut out of a teal color cardstock. The phrases are from the Father’s Day stamp set.

One Ale of a Guy Card

For this 5″ X 7″ card, I used a different style of coloring for the beer, creating a swoosh of color instead. I stamped the many labels for Dad from the Father’s Day stamp set. The word “brew” is from the Perfect Blend stamp set. If your man likes to brew at home, “Brew-Bro” works!

The orange letters over “ale” highlight the pun of this card. (hese new Lowercase Letter Alpha dies are perfect for cards. Their size packs a bold punch, but they are still reasonably sized to be able to fit a phrase like this on a card. Liquid applique creates the froth and a white gel pen makes the bubbles and highlights.

The Man, Myth, Legend Card

For this card, I used the card die as intended (i.e., a shaped card) to create the beer glass-shaped card, again snipping the sides as described above. Happy Father’s Day was stamped in black on vellum paper. The rest of the phrases were heat embossed in white on black cardstock.

The Father’s Day die set has dies to precisely and neatly cut out various words and phrases from the stamp set. I love the look when the phrases are cut this way. This Father’s Day stamp and coordinating die set could be yours free in my IG giveaway. Details next…
