Happy Heart Day everyone! Being Valentine’s Day I couldn’t resist sharing a love themed card. I pulled out the Bee Bold Alphabet Honey Cuts once again to help make a bold statement on my card. I have paired it with an adorable little bunny and bird from Snow Buddies.
I started with an A2 white card base. I used some plaid pattern paper from my stash that I cut slightly smaller than A2 size to cover the front. I used the second largest die in the Scallop A2 Card Frames Honey Cuts to make a decorative panel to build my scene on. I stenciled the sky using the cloud stencil from the Outdoor Scene Builder set and some Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Ink. I used the Grass Border Honey Cuts to create the grass strips. I sponged on some Cracked Pistachio ink to color the grass.
From white card stock, I die cut the letters L, V, and E, using the Bee Bold Alphabet Honey Cuts. Instead of an “O” I die cut a heart. This die comes from the Stacking Hearts Honey Cuts. I blended Festive Berries ink onto the letters and heart keeping it lighter towards to top. I die cut the word “you” from dark grey card stock using a die from the Gift Card Slots Honey Cuts. After I added all the components of my scene to the card, I felt like it could use some embellishment. I added a few Sugared Peach Acrylic Hearts scattered around the sky.

WOW!! So adorable. I’m trying to get my local stamp store to carry Honey Bee! *Ü*
I’ve fallen in love with Leanne’s designs. Critter cards were never high on my list of stamp sets, but… Leanne’s designs have won me over. I love the use of the heart in spelling out LOVE, and the plaid background is such a nice base to build this scene on – a “pretty” sweet Valentine card!
