Hi Everyone! Leanne here and I’m continuing with the celebration of Party Animal Week. Just a reminder that all animal themed stamps and dies are 15% off with the code PARTY15. Be sure to leave a comment below for a chance to win one of the animal paper piecing dies.
Since this week is all about mixing and matching the animal sets, I’ve used a bunch of the different ones to create a party scene on my card.
Here’s a list of all the sets I used:
- Bill the Bear stamp set and Honey Cuts
- Warm Wishes stamp set and Honey Cuts
- Penny the Platypus stamp set and Honey Cuts
- Pinky the Pig stamp set and Honey Cuts
- Ham It Up stamp set
- Congrats Grad stamp set
I started with a card base that measures 9 inches tall by 4 inches wide. For the ink blended background, I used Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink for the top two thirds and Twisted Citron for the bottom. I then generously splattered the background with water and thinned ink to give the look of confetti.
When I think of a party theme, I think of bright festive colors so I used some of the brightest Copics I had to color the images. I used a white gel pen to add highlights and pattern details. I arranged the images to create the scene but before adhering, I stamped the sentiment, balloon strings, and bug trails directly to the background. I then secured the images in place with glue dots.
The sale code PARTY15 is good through this Saturday the 9th. All the animal stamps and dies eligible for the discount are here. Happy shopping!
