Hello friends! Happy new week (and July 4th to my American friends)! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio and I have TWO beach scene cards to share with you today! Have you checked the brand new Perfect Day Release? There are so many fun and beautiful products to choose from and I’m most excited about all the stand alone die sets! Today, I’m using one of them together with some new stamp sets to create two beach scene cards. The night scene one is only used stamps, and the sunset scene one uses both dies and stamps.

The night scene card
I started with stamping the ocean from Seaside Summer set with several colors of inks using my Misti. TIP: To get the colors to blend, I used small blending brush to soften the edges of the ink on a stamp before stamping onto the paper. I then ink blended the sky using the same inks after masking off the moon. I also added some splatters with both clean water and white paint to mimic the stars. When the inks are dry, I heat embossed the wave and reflection details using white puff embossing powder.

For the sand, I first covered the area with light grey ink and then stamped the sand dunes, fences, and some grass with medium grey and dark grey ink. After inks are dry, I white heat embossed the sentiment from Seas the Day set. I then stamped other images such as palm leaves and sail boat with black inks and the clouds with white pigment ink.

The sunset scene card

For this card, I followed the same steps as the night scene card for the ocean, sky, and the sand. Then I die cut all the pieces from various colors of card stocks using the Shoreline Scene Builder die set. TIP: I die cut some of them from white card stock and added color with inks and markers to add texture.

After white heat embossing the sentiment also from Seas the Day stamp set, I adhered the die cuts in place. TIP: Using foam tapes (or additional die cut layers for the intricate ones) make the scene look more dimensional.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful week!!
