Hi there! Emily Midgett here with you today sharing my first post on the Honey Bee blog since my twin baby boys were born last April. I’ve been busy with baby boys, but I’ve also been doing some illustrative collaborations with Melissa here at Honey Bee Stamps, which includes my latest collaboration: Love You Bunches! I’ve used it with Barn Wood Planks dies on today’s project to create a bit of a country feel. Let’s get started on the details!

I began by heat embossing the bouquet from Love You Bunches on the corners of a panel of watercolor paper, then used Prima watercolors to watercolor the flowers in a pretty, springy combination of coral-y pink, lavender, and mint. I used the coordinating Honey Cuts to cut the watercolored bouquets.

Next, I die cut the Barn Wood Planks from some pale blush cardstock. I adhered them to an A2 panel using liquid adhesive. I added a bit of extra definition to the wood grain texture on the die cuts by blending some pink ink around the edges. I adhered a frame die cut on the woodgrain panel.

Because I had heat embossed the flower bouquets in the corners of the watercolor panel, I lined the corners of the die cuts up with the corners of the woodgrain panel and adhered them with foam adhesive. I heat embossed a greeting from Love You Bunches, die cut it with the coordinating Honey Cuts, and adhered it with some more foam adhesive. I added a few Moonlight gems for some sparkle.

Well, that’s all for me today! I have missed playing with my Honey Bee Stamps, and I’m so glad to have the opportunity to play with them again! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous day!
