These tags were created “assembly-line” style, meaning I did all the die cutting first, then assembled the wreaths, the poinsettias, the bows, etc. I added glitter and spray to the wreaths and poinsettias and then assembled the tag bases before putting it all together. This project from start to finish (die cutting to final assembly took 2 hours).
The back of each tag was created by stamping greetings from the Santa Express Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock with Berrylicious Ink and die cutting with a Scallop Square Gift Tags Die or a Scallop Circle Gift Tag die. The “to” sentiment was stamped on each tag with black ink and the panel was adhered to the back of the assembled tags.
The wreaths were created by die cutting Hero Hues Meadow and Palm cardstock with the Joy Noel Wreath Dies and layering one wreath on top of the other. Ranger Mulit Matte Medium was lightly applied to some of the wreath and Hero Arts Icicle Glitter was sprinkled over the wreaths for a touch of icy sparkle!
The bow for the wreaths were die cut from Holiday Traditions Patterned Paper using the Joy Noel Wreath Dies. The pieces were glued together and then glued to the wreath.
The bases for both the Scallop Square Gift Tags or a Scallop Circle Gift Tag were created from Lawn Fawn Chili Pepper Cardstock. A Holiday Traditions Patterned Paper die cut circle or square was adhered to each tag for interest.
Gems from the Holiday Traditions Crystal Gems or Rainbow Crystal Gems were adhered to the wreaths as “berries” for extra sparkle! These little gems are so much easier than trying to add die cut berries. You could also use small sequins or Nuvo Crystal Drops!
Each tag was finished by threading through a bit of red and white baker’s twine.
The poinsettias were created by die cutting Lawn Fawn Chili Pepper Cardstock, Hero Hues Mustard Cardstock, and Hero Hues Palm Cardstock using the Winter Bouquets Dies. The poinsettias were assembled and then the flowers and leaves were spritzed with Hero Arts White Iridescent Shimmer for that subtle sparkle and shine!
The bases for both the Scallop Square Gift Tags or a Scallop Circle Gift Tag were created from Hero Hues Pitch Black Cardstock. A Holiday Traditions Patterned Paper die cut circle or square was adhered to each tag for interest.
Gems from the Holiday Traditions Crystal Gems were adhered to the poinsettia centers for extra sparkle!
Each tag was finished by threading through a bit of red and white baker’s twine.
