Hi Everyone, I’m so excited to be taking part in the 12 Designers of Christmas with Honey Bee Stamps. I am just in love with all things Honey Bee and I’m always happy to share another project with you all.
For my card today, I was really inspired by all of your comments on my videos on the Honey Bee channel saying that you love all the bright colors I use. So I wanted to bring all the colors to you today, by creating this Rainbow Christmas Tree Slimline. I have used some of my favorite goodies from the Holiday Cheer release which include the Farmhouse Tree Builder as well as the new Merry Buzzword.
I started out my card by stamping the first layer of the tree in the Farmhouse Tree Builder stamp set using a variety of different colors of Catherine Pooler inks. And once I had the first layer all stamped out, I then lined up the second layer of the tree and stamped that in the darker color in order to add some dimension to each of the trees. The colors that I used are all listed below:
1st Layer:
Be Mine, Limoncello, Tiki Torch, Samba, Garden Party, Something Borrowed, Pixie Dust
2nd Layer:
Party Dress, Tiara, Orange Twist, Rocking Red, Grass Skirt, Suede Shoes, Fruity Fuchsia
Once I had all the trees stamped out, I used the Farmhouse Tree Honey Cuts to cut out each of the trees. Next it was time to add them all to my card and I did that by placing them in rainbow order and adding some foam adhesive behind them before adhering them down to my slimline card base. And of course since this is a Christmas card I had to add some splatter, so I splatters some white paint throughout the card.
Finally to finish off my card for today, I used the Merry buzzword honey cut to die cut some black glitter cardstock. I added my die cut on top of the trees and added the smaller sentiment directly underneath the die cut.

Absolutely LOVE the cheery Rainbow of colors for the trees!
The splatter effect on the background gives it that Christmas feel.
I also like the way the card really stands out with using the foam tape to “pop” it up.
