Hello Crafters!
Welcome to the 11th Day of the 12 Designers of Christmas Celebration! If you haven’t been following along each day make sure you back track. there are so many amazing projects from such talented designers!

I have a pretty clean and simple card for you guys today. My mojo has taken a vacation, hopefully a short one, and when that happens I like to go back to basic things I know I love. Clean and Simple definitely makes my list!
I did a simple white heat embossed image on colored cardstock and then added a few things to help my focal point shine. you can do this with any image but it helps if your stamp is large and well designed in it’s layout. The manager scene from Christ is Born is a perfect way to celebrate the season and can carry the entire card.

Once my image was stamped and heat embossed I created a halo around it by adding darker shading around the edges. This automatically draws your eye to the lighter portion of the card.
Next I created some separation by using my white gel pen to add even more stars to the sky. This pushes the manager forward and the sky into the background. Last but certainly not least I added glitter to just Joseph, Mary, Jesus, and the stars. It doesn’t change the color at all but the shimmer also draws the eye.
You can see the entire process in the video below
Thank you so much for stopping by! Merry Christmas!!

Yes to clean and simple, especially when many are short on time during this busy season. Thanks for sharing your tips and the technique video.
Love it Kelly!
Clean and Simple and one that can easily be mass produced! I fell in love with this stamp set but haven’t found one card that took my breath away like this one did ….. Guess I’ll be busy this weekend! Thanks for sharing Kelly…

lovely card. Never fear, you’ll get your mojo back. In the meantime you’ve made this beauty and inspired others. I cry when I hear “Mary did you know”. It’s so dramatic and so beautiful. Love it so much..
