Hi everyone! It’s Cathy Z. here and I’m so happy to be a guest designer today. I’m sharing a fun birthday card project that started out one way in my mind, but only took a turn of the cardstock to find just the right look.

The Oh My Whiskers stamps (and coordinating dies) are such a fun collection of images, especially if you love kitties, and I wanted to try out painting with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. My greeting came from the Purrrfect Sentiments stamps set, which also has a coordinating die set available. I really love being able to cut out the greetings with dies. It opens up so many design possibilities, even on a clean and simple card.

If you’ll notice, I trimmed off my kitty a bit, to make it appear as though  he’s bleeding off the edge of my white cardbase of a sky. I accidentally die cut the painted piece a tiny bit askew, but it was a fortuitous mishap, as it ended up leading to a stronger design! Here is my video showing you how I created the card project:

I really love how the clouds create a subtle texture on the card base by using the outline part of the Rainbow Wishes dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by. To see my complete supply list, visit my blog.
