Hello HoneyBee fans! It’s LauraJane:)  I’m sharing a card that started by  stamping a pattern and then NOT knowing what to do with it when finished. Many days I  sit down with a stamp set without a plan. THIS was one of those days:)) Follow along and see where it goes!

As you can see in this first photo, I’m using the NEW Zen Floral set.. Hello! SWOONING over these sweet images!! Of course I went straight for that tiny Bonnet looking bloom at the top. (It reminds me of my favorite yellow hat:))

On a white A2 sized CS I drew a 1″ grid with the Tim Holtz ruler and Distress marker#LJs zen cornerThen I stamped a pattern of blooms, leaves and tiny clusters in these distress inks…not to worry about the missed inkling on that one bloom.#LJs zen corner2I re-inked the bloom stamp with two shades of Zig Clean Color markers and carefully lined up and re-stamped each bloom.#LJs zen corner3And now I added a bit of h20 with a water brush and finished coloring all the images with the Ziggys.

#LJs zen cornerI had so much fun coloring, I made another panel with a slightly different pattern:)))#LJs zen corner5Two panels and NO plan:))) I trimmed them down and set them aside for a THINK.#LJs zen corner6

Final card Reveal:))

#LJs zen corner

  • I used one panel and mounted it to a card base that was lined with washi at the edges.
  • Added a strip of Black polka-dot paper and Gold thread.
  • Stamped and Fussy cut PRAYING from the PRAYER stamp set. ( Looking forward to owning the Honey Cuts Prayers Die) and placed it ontop with Tombow Stamp Runner.
  • Finished the sentiment and fussy cut a small blue cluster and stuck it beneath the FOR YOU.

I’m happy with how this turned out:)

Hope it inspires you to Jump in and create Even if you don’t have a plan!

Love this!! I think it is remarkable the difference you achieve when you add a bit of water. It just softened your design ever so slightly. Your end result card is as sweet as pie!! I LOVE the “hat” image too : ) so… so… LauraJane!!

Wonderful job! Thank you for the inspiration : )
