Happy Tuesday, friends… Melissa B here! Are you ready for another colorful card from me? Today, I’m sharing a fun card with a new technique that I’ve been meaning to try for awhile now. Most of the time we only think about using the front part of our stamps, but the solid backing can be used to create a base for the fronts to sit on. Fun, right?
Zen Floral lends itself perfectly for doing this technique. To begin, I started with a crisp piece of white card-stock. Using my stamping block, I flipped my stamp image upside down, so that the bottom of my stamp was on top. Then I stamped the base for each of my flowers to sit on. (Sorry, I had another photo of this to share with you, but the quality of the photo was too bad to post…but you get the idea of how it’s done.) After all of my flower bases were stamped, I flipped my stamp back over and began stamping my flowers in black ink. Now, because the base image is upside down it is reversed and will not line up exactly with the front flower image. But that’s perfectly OK. 🙂
Now it’s time for the sentiment and the Kindness set seemed like a perfect match for my flowers. I stamped ‘kind’ in black and ‘You’re too’ on a piece of pink card-stock with foam adhesive behind. Lastly, I thought each of my flowers needed a little something in the center, so I added sequins to each one!
I hope you enjoyed. Thanks for visiting with us today!
