Hello Honey Bee friends! Happy new week!

It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio here today sharing this cute bee keeper scene card with you all! Yes, I’m using Bill the bear again. He is a keeper (well, literally)! All the text in blue below are clickable links to the Honey Bee shop.

Preparing the Elements
I started by stamping Bill, his hat, and a honey pot from Bill the Bear set and a chick from Spring Chick set (I drew a pair of rubber boots on Bill). I colored them with my Copic markers and added some fur texture to Bill with colored pencils.  I cut them out with the coordinating Honey Cuts dies. To make Bill look like he is a bee keeper, I added double layers of tule wrapped around his head and cut off the excess. I then added another hat on top of the tule. Bee Hive Box was die cut from card stock (cream color for the main part, and kraft for the roof). I added texture by stamping the Woodgrain Background and inking the edges with some brown inks. I randomly stamped little bee image (this is one of the Free Bee stamp you get when you order over $35. You will get a matching die for the purchase over $75! Both while supplies last) with light color of ink and colored them with pencils. I purposely colored them imperfectly so it looks like Bill has built the bee hive box and painted these bees himself (I even added his name!). The cute bees are die cut from black, yellow and white glitter card stock using Honey Bees Paper Piecing dies. The sentiment from Thanks a Bunch set was heat embossed with brand new Bee True embossing powder and die cut with the matching die.

Making the Background
On a piece of 5″ x 7″ white card stock, I blended Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink and added some ink splatters. Then I layered a fence die cut and a grass border (inked with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink) using liquid glue. The second grass border on the top (inked with Twisted Citron Distress Ink) was adhered with two layers of foam tape.

Assembling the Card
After all the elements and the background were ready, I arranged them the way I want them to check if they all work. I decided to stamp a trail behind one bee and a burst pattern on the top right of the sentiment (both from Rainbow Wishes set). I then adhered all the elements to the card some with liquid glue and some with foam tapes. I made a 5″ x 7″ card base from heavy weight white card stock and adhere the panel on top.

Adding Final Touches
I added an enamel dot from Great Outdoors Enamel Dot Stickers to the bee hive box, and some Sugared Peach Acrylic Hearts were scattered all around the card. I also tie some twine to finish off the card.

Thank you so so much for stopping by today.

Have a wonderful week!!
