Happy Monday to you, friends! Melissa B here with you to start this new week with a bold floral card featuring the Spring Blossoms stamp set. I’ve used this set quite a few times already, but I will never tire of it. For my card today I chose to do a bit of messy water-coloring.
To begin, I started with a white card panel measuring 4.25 x 5.5. I used the masking technique to create my floral bundles along the bottom and top of my card panel. After I had them all stamped, I moved forward with water-coloring. I used just a basic watercolor set to color my flowers in. Note to self: make sure and use the correct ink when using water-colors otherwise your images will bleed some, like mine did here. By the time I realized it, I was too far and decided to just keep going. 🙂
After my coloring was complete, I let it dry and then used the largest frame, from the A2 Double Stitched Frame Honey Cuts, to create a double frame out of that floral card panel. I attached the outer frame directly to my card base and then popped the inside up with dimensional foam. My sentiment was created with the Smile Honey Cut and Simple Sentiments. I added a few yellow sequins, from the Sunny Day Sequin Mix, to complete it.
Well friends, that’s all from me today. I hope this made you smile! Thanks for visiting!
