Good morning! Emily Midgett here with you today sharing a cheerful card using some new and old goodies from the Honey Bee store. It’s awesome when you build a collection of products from a company and realize just how many of the products work nicely together!

I didn’t get a chance to play with the absolutely ADORABLE foxes from the new Feelin’ Foxy stamp set during the release, so that set was on the top of my list for my weekly blog post. Foxes are so darn cute, and they’re SO trendy… and these little guys are just too sweet! I love how unique each fox is… if you look up images of live foxes, their coloring is unique to each fox, so you really can’t be wrong with your color choices!

For my project today, I thought that the sweet fox with her eyes closed looked like she was basking in the warmth of the sun. I thought it worked perfectly with the Sunburst cover plate die. I started by die cutting the Sunburst cover plate from some medium blue card stock. I placed it over my white card base to get an approximate of where the opening for the sun was, then used my Squeezed Lemonade and Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide inks to blend a bright, cheerful sun and halo on my card base.  I added some Shimmer spritz over the top of my blended sun to add some pretty shimmer and sparkle.

I stamped the fox from Feelin’ Foxy onto some white card stock using black ink, then colored her with my Polychromos pencils (which I’m still learning to use. Not used to not having a blender pencil haha!) and die cut her out, along with some butterflies. I layered my Sunburst die cut over the top of my blended sun. I also stamped and heat embossed the greeting from Ridiculously Happy onto a strip of white card stock and flagged the ends, then blended a touch of Spiced Marmalade over the top to add some color. I used the sentiment flag as a seat for my foxy.

The final touch was to add a few Cupcake jewels here and there on the card front.

Well, that’s all for me today! I hope you enjoyed my project. Have a marvelous weekend, friends!
