Hi there, crafty friends! It’s Melissa Bickford, and I’m thrilled to be sharing my very first post as part of the amazing Honey Bee Stamps design team. So exciting! Today, I’m going to be sharing a card using one of the newest stamp sets, Color My World. I just love this sweet little set and all of the coloring possibilities!
It’s red, white and blue week at Honey Bee Stamps, so let’s jump right in…
I started by first cutting a piece of white card-stock to 3 x 4.25”. Then using two of the largest flowers in the set, I stamped my background in crisp black ink. Next came my sentiment…’You COLOR my world’. Using the Copic marker colors you see in the picture above, I colored my flowers and sentiment in. I know it’s red, white and blue week, but I couldn’t resist throwing in a little light pink, as well. 🙂
After finishing all of my coloring, I moved onto assembling my card. I added two strips of colorful card-stock along the bottom of my white card base. Next, I layered my stamped and colored flowers over a piece of light blue card-stock and attached that to my card front.
Lastly, I added two black buttons to complete it.
Thanks so much for joining me today. I hope you enjoyed my first project and look forward to sharing more with you very soon. I’m also sharing this pretty card on my blog, Just Dandy Studio, if you would like to stop by. I hope you all have a happy day!
