Good morning, and happy Saturday! It’s Cassie here, back with another card. Today I’m mixing some of my favorite techniques with a cute and simple card design to make a sweet card for a loved one! Let’s jump right in.

I started by die cutting a stitched rectangle from some Neenah Solar White Cardstock. Then I grabbed a tried and true Distress Ink color combo and went to work blending the colors into the paper. I started with Abandoned Coral, added Picked Raspberry, and finished with Spun Sugar. I love the way these colors look together! I spritzed the paper with water and quickly blotted it up with a paper towel and set it aside to dry.

Next I stamped and colored one of the dogs, a dish and bone from the Playful Pups stamp set. I picked the dog that looked like it was leaping because I planned on doing a slider card and wanted him to look like he was in motion. I colored the three images in with my Copic markers, doing some simple color combos that would go nicely with the pinks.

I cut out the images, and added some little white gel details to each of them. Next I took a slider die I have and placed it on the Distress Ink panel so that I’d have enough room for the dog to jump through the air, and the bowl could sit on the lower part of the card. I ran it through my die machine and made sure to grab the piece it cut out so I could attach it to the card base. I used foam tape to add the card panel to the card base so that there was enough room for the dog to slide back and forth on his little track. I glued the dog to a circle die cut with some foam tape to create the mechanism that he sits on. He looks so sweet like he’s leaping through the air for his bone!

Here’s a great look at the dog moving along the slider track! He slides back and forth, and it’s sooo sweet!

I stamped the sentiment ‘you are loved’ from the Beautiful Life set and die cut it 4 times from white card stock using the coordinating dies. I glued all the layers together and added it with adhesive to my card. This pretty much finished the card for today! This was my first time making a slider card, and I really love how it turned out! Have you given them a try before?

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you’re having a great Saturday.
