Hello everyone!! Laurie here with my very first post for HoneyBee Stamps!!! Let me just say that I am beyond excited and super grateful for this opportunity!! I have loved Melissa’s stamps since her first release. They are beautiful, unique and uplifting. And what is fantastic about all her stamps is they work together beautifully.
So let’s get started, shall we?? The first thing I did was create a mask for my cardfront by using a circle die and plain printer paper.
I temporarily adhered it to my card panel and stamped a wood background stamp over it with a medium grey shade of ink. This resulted in only the circle portion being stamped.
Now as you can see, I stamped some images using Versamark ink and gold embossing powder. I LOVE grey and gold together!! I used the largest floral spray image and a couple of leafy images from the Country Blooms stamp set and used the Co-ordinating Dies to cut them out. This is one of my favourite sets!! I didn’t want to take away from the gold embossing, so I kept my colouring very light. Using a few of the lightest shades of alcohol markers I have and the blender was all the color I needed. You can see here the light shading on the leaves:
For the sentiment, I used the Beautiful Life stamp set, which is the very first HBS set I bought and is still one of my favourites!! I stamped the word fabulous and heat embossed with gold embossing powder as well. I die cut the sentiment using the Co-ordinating Dies, as well as several more from some scrap white cardstock to create a thick “fabulous” embellishment!! I stamped the “you are” with black ink onto a small strip of white cardstock. I thought that black would work better then heat embossing it in gold.
To finish the card, I used a combination of liquid glue and foam adhesive (but mostly foam adhesive :)), to adhere my elements to the card. I also used the adorable sequins stamp that is in the Beautiful Life set as well!!
Thank you for stopping by today!! Wishing you an amazing day!!
