Happy Saturday, everyone! I hope you’re all having a great start to your day 🙂 It’s Cassie here, and I’m back with another card. Today I’m using a stamp set that I’ve wanted to use for such a long time called Just My Type. This is such a sweet 2×2 set that is really inexpensive, and a great addition to other sets. Let’s take a look at my card!
I started this card by stamping the typewriter on some Neenah Solar White card stock and coloring the images in with my Copic markers. I went with some fun bright colors that I really like, but you could really do any color combination here. I die cut them out and stamped the three little hearts that come in the Just My Type set on two of the typewriters. On the one that was going to go in the middle I stamped the sentiment “always be your own kind of” from the Beautiful Life stamp set. It fits perfectly on the piece of paper sticking out. Next I cut down piece of white paper that would fit the typewriters perfectly and added some die stitched detail to the edges. I set those aside to work on the next few steps.
Next I ink blended the color Cracked Pistachio onto a A2 size panel of card stock. I left it so that the middle had almost no ink, and the edges were much more saturated. I partly did this to draw the eye to the middle, but also because I knew the white strip would cover the center. I cut down a piece of vellum so that it would leave open space at the top and bottom of the panel and stamped it with a heart from the Life is Beautiful set. I used VersaMark ink and white embossing powder which I heated with my heat gun.
Finally, I put the card together. I attached both the vellum and the white strip with tape runner. So that you couldn’t see the adhesive through the vellum I only applied it where the white paper would cover it. I added the typewriters with foam tape to give it some dimension. To finish the sentiment I stamped the word wonderful from the same Life is Beautiful set in VersaMark and embossed it with silver embossing powder. I die cut the silver word, as well as three more blank pieces and glued them together. I attached that over the center with some glue, and added some Glossy Accents and shimmer to the typewriters! And that was it for this card!
I hope you enjoyed the project for today. It was a fun card to make 🙂 I’ll see you all again soon with another project! Have a great weekend!
