Happy Tuesday, Honey Bee friends!! Brenda here with a snow globe shaped card that I created for my niece!! Unfortunately, she lives in Colorado and won’t be able to travel to Missouri for the holidays. This will be the first holiday in 30 years that we haven’t seen her. I needed a card to send with her Christmas gifts and this sentiment from the Home for the Holidays Stamp Set was perfect!! I had the house left over after I created last week’s card!!

I began by die-cutting the Snow Globe A2 Shaker Die from a panel of white cardstock and embossed it with the Snowflake 3D Embossing Folder. I used a brayer to add Bee Creative Embossing Ink over the raised areas of the snowflakes and embossed it with sparkle embossing powder. I repeated this process twice, then blended a bit of Salvaged Patina Distress Ink to the edges with a blender brush. I used the same die to die-cut the card base, letting the top of the die hang over the top edge. A piece of white glitter cardstock was die-cut with the same die and trimmed along the top to create the snow for the ground. The base of the snow globe was cut from brown cardstock and embossed with the Wood Planks 3D Embossing Folder. All the layers were adhered to the card base using Bee Creative Glue.

Two of the trees in the Pine Trees Die Set were cut from white cardstock and colored with Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide Ink. They were adhered to each side of the snow globe with Bee Creative Glue and the excess was trimmed from each edge. The house, from the Lovely Layers: Alice’s Gingerbread Lane Die Set, was die-cut from brown, mustard yellow and white cardstock, then colored with Copic markers. (I had this left from last week’s card.) It was adhered with foam adhesive. The sentiment is from the Home for the Holidays Stamp Set. It was stamped onto white cardstock with pinkish-red ink, cut out with the Coordinating Die and popped up with foam tape. To finish, I added highlights to the house with a white gel pen, Star Dust Stickles to the snow and trees, then Glossy Accents to the chocolate.

I just can’t get enough of these sweet gingerbread houses!! I hope my niece loves it as much as I do!!

Thanks for hanging out with me today!! I’ll see you next Tuesday!!

Brenda
