My card today features the stunning Winter Watercolor Stamps and Coordinating Dies in a non-traditional color scheme!!
I started by stamping the images from the Winter Watercolor Stamp Set onto white cardstock using bright, non-traditional colors of dye inks. Sponge daubers were used to add a bit of darker ink to the centers of flowers and pine stems, for dimension. Once dry, I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out, then set them aside to work on the background.
The Snowy Pines 3D Embossing Folder was embossed onto a panel of white cardstock. I blended the top, left panel with two colors of green dye ink, fading to white in the lower, right corner. It was then splattered with diluted Bee Creative Metallic Gold Pigment Ink. Once the panel was dry, the Winter Watercolor die-cuts were arranged and adhered with Bee Creative Glue.
The sentiment is from the Peace, Love, Joy Stamp Set. It was stamped onto white cardstock with Bee Creative Embossing Ink, heat embossed with gold embossing powder, then cut out with their Coordinating Dies. I also die-cut three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock and layered them behind the embossed ones, then adhered them to the front of the card with Bee Creative Glue. I colored the open areas of the “Peace” die-cut with Copic markers that matched my flowers pretty closely. I added satin gold gems from the Metallic Mix Pearl Sticker Pack to the centers of the flowers and around the sentiment and this card was finished.
I really love these bright, non-traditional holiday colors, but I can’t wait to stamp the Winter Watercolor Stamp Set in softer, more watercolor-y tones!!
Thanks so much for dropping by today!! Have a wonderful week and I’ll see you next Tuesday!!
