You know that joke…”with friends like these, who needs anemones?” Hardy har har… but… I think everyone needs anemones. They’re just so darn pretty. And the new Winter Anemone stamp set is an absolutely gorgeous set with anemones as the feature. I couldn’t wait to dive head first into this set, and I combined it with several different die sets (both old and new) to create a fun holiday gift card holder. Let’s get started with the details!
I began by creating the gift bag using the new Gift Bag Card die set from some pale pink and white card stock. I cut two of the pink panels and adhered them together to create a gift bag, then punched some holes in it and added some pretty mulberry colored seam binding handles to create a gift bag. I die cut the “tissue paper” portion using white card stock that I’d dress up later. 😉 I also stamped, die cut, and colored a big bunch of the beautiful Winter Anemone stamps using my Copic markers.
For the interior portion, I wanted to decorate the bottom of the “tissue paper” using some more anemones and the new Plaid Background stencils. I blended the plaid stencils using shades of cool rose and dark gray… those stencils have SO many fun possibilities. I added some more Copic-colored anemones, then adhered the “for you” from Gift Card Slots using liquid adhesive.
To complete the gift card portion, I die cut the Gift Card Pocket from white card stock and adhered it to the back of the tissue paper die cut.
Well, that’s all for me today! The new Gift Bag Card die set creates such a fun gift card holder, perfect for a special gift! And, bonus, you can dress it up with die cuts and stamped images, or you can use patterned paper to create a super quick gift card holder. Thanks so much for dropping by today, and have a marvelous weekend!
