Watercolor Coffee Cup Cards with Amy Rysavy
Hello everyone! AmyR here today to show y’all how I made these Coffee Cup gift card holders with the Honey Bee Stamps Coffee Cup Card Honey Cuts Dies!
I used the Coffee Cup Card die set to cut out some Canson XL watercolored paper. That created the base for the 2 middle cards (the cards on either end were made with some Primitive White card stock as they were just stamped with dye inks – no watercolored card stock needed for that).
*Take note that if you’re using standard 8 1/2 x 11″ card stock for your Coffee Cup Card bases that you line up the base die carefully. The die is 11″ long so you want to make sure not to have uneven ends if it isn’t lined up!
I stamped the large image from the Zen Bouquet set onto the watercolored bases with Versamark ink and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. I then applied Distress Inks directly to the paper and sprayed them with water. The end result is what you see here after they’d dried!
All the “lids” for these cards were cut from white glossy card stock. I adhered them into place with some Nuvo adhesive. The circles were die cut from green card stock and stamped and/or heat embossed before adhering them into place.
The sentiments on the inside of all the cards, as well as on all the coffee cup “wraps” were stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink and I used the Honey Bee Perfect Blend set to create all the sentiments.
I also stamped images from the Zen Bouquet set to finish off all the insides. After that I stuck the gift cards into place with a mini glue dot just so that they’re held but still easy to remove and that was it!
