Hello, happy new week friends! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio today and I am sharing these fun “gift tags” to share with you. These are all made from die cut shapes and I love using them to decorate my packages. I usually make whole bunch of them for the season and put them on my packages when I ship my orders (I make and sell stained glass pieces). These are great for adding something special to any packages. I enjoy going through my Honey Bee Stamps dies to pick out the ones I want to use for the season although it’s not an easy task since there are SO MANY great die sets to choose from and you only have so much time! So today, I am sharing some of the ones I made for this winter.
I don’t have any special techniques to share today because they are all so easy to put together. Instead, I am sharing the products I used and bunch of examples along with few tips. You can definitely make these more complicated by coloring, ink blending, or stamping but great thing about Honey Bee dies is that they add so much details by simply die cutting so we need to do less (or nothing). They look good straight out of the die cutting machine!
Here are the die sets I used:
Lovely Layers: Large Snowflakes
Lovely Layers: Candy Canes
Lovely Layers: Winter Greenery (pinecone)
Lovely Layers: Poinsettia
Layering Holiday Bells
Mugs & Kisses
<TIPS>
1. When I go through my die collection, I mainly look for the ones that are appropriately sized to put on the packages, and preferably have a loop or handle of some sort so I can tie the twine. But if not, I can always punch a small hole like I did for the poinsettia ones or add a loop like the pinecone ones.
2. To make them little bit more special (especially for the holiday season), I used various specialty card stocks such as glitter and foil. Pattern papers are also great for adding some colors and interest. I used the brand new Holiday Wishes pattern paper for the mugs.
3. I love adding little dimensions to the finished tags with gems or pearls.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful week!

What a great idea. Your tags are simply beautiful. Love the color palette
Thank you so much Kim! I think choosing a color palette took me longer than die cutting!
