Happy Saturday! I hope you’ll love the versatility and simplicity of today’s project–twinchies! I know quite a few people that are intimidated to work that small–but don’t be! These 2 inch x 2 inch pieces of art are super fun and can be used in a variety of ways–and Honey Bee Scraps Stamps are perfect for projects big and SMALL–but especially small! Today I simply cut a bunch of 2″ squares from black paper, and then 1 3/4″ from my MME camera patterned paper. I inked the edges of my camera paper using CTMH grey wool ink. Glue your patterned paper squares to your solid colored matte squares and you have the base for a hand full of lovelies! Next, embellish to your heart’s content–my rule of thumb to embellish is a word or phrase, a focal point of some sort, and an accent. You’ll notice that my phrase and the banner it nestled perfectly into are from the Honey Bee Scraps “Life Right Now” stamp set. I snipped off the right side of the banner off after my sentiment to suit the balance I was trying to achieve. My focal point is the camera die (from Stampin’ Up) and my accent is the gem in the center of the camera lens. Now we are done and can use these little guys for all sorts of fun projects–from gift tags to glued to a 3×4 matte for a Project Life card! Below, you’ll see I used four squares embellished a bit differently for a grid pattern on a greeting card along with the Honey Bee Scraps “Hello” sentiment! Have fun playing and see how you can arrange the twinchies on projects of your own as well!
