This is Caly and I’m so excited to be a part of the 12 Designers of Christmas series for Honey Bee Stamps this year! We’re hoping to give you lots of inspiration with fun giveaways with this event!
I’ve made a fun shaker for today’s card using a few of latest release’s products. I stamped and colored images from the Snow Buddies stamp set using Copic markers (0, C00, C0, C1R05, R29, R39, Y08, Y38, YR07, V01, V15, BG11, BG13). When done coloring, I die cut the images and added some chunky glitter on the hat for some extra sparkle.
For the background, I stamped and embossed snowflakes in white from the Jingle All The Away stamp set. I ink-blended Wilted Violet, Peacock Feathers, and Spun Sugar. I added some water droplets to add texture, then splattered some white ink over the panel for some extra interest.
To create the shaker, I used a scallop frame die and added some window film (I often reach for a storage pocket since that’s always readily available). Then I added a thin strip of foam adhesive to it. Before adding this frame, I added Candlelight Confetti Mix to the center of the card panel – can I just tell you right now how much I LOVE this sequin/jewel mix? The iridescent rounds and tiny clear jewels are perfect and can go in any shaker card. I think it’s beautiful! The sentiment is from the FA LA LA stamp set. The sentiment is broken up so I stamped and embossed them in white over black cardstock and adhered them to the shaker window, offsetting each word to make it a little fun. I hope you enjoyed this card! Thanks so much for stopping by today!
