Hello! Jess here from All the Sparkle and I’m so excited to be part of Honey Bee’s 12 Designers of Christmas! Today I’m sharing a Christmas card using an older stamp set that I just adore as well as a ton of sparkle and shine courtesy of the gorgeous embellishments Honey Bee carries! 😉
To start I stamped the cute snow angel bird from Snow Birds onto white cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed him with clear embossing powder. I colored him with copic markers to resemble a rose robin, a native bird of Australia. Mostly I wanted to color a red bird different from a robin or a cardinal so I did a little googling and discovered this pretty bird! After I finished coloring I die-cut him with the coordinating dies.
Next I stamped the outline of the snow angel stamp onto a white card base with no line beige ink. I wanted lots of texture in my card so I took a spatula and spread white texture paste around the outline. I kept my swipes moving away from the center of the image to give it a little movement. While it was still wet I sprinkled it heavily with ice chips glitter, iridescent tiny bubbles, and young love glitter confetti for tons of sparkle and shine!
While it was drying I stamped the sentiment from Snow Birds onto red and black cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. I die-cut ‘warm’ with the coordinating die and trimmed the rest of the sentiment to a thin label. I adhered it to the card and then added my bird with foam mounting tape. Finally I added a little nuvo crystal glaze around the edge of the bird’s wings and sprinkled it with the same ice chips glitter and young love glitter confetti. I also added a little nuvo crystal glaze to the bird’s beak for a little shine! And that’s it! I love how all the sparkles and dimension from the paste really kick this design up a notch and I hope it inspires you to give your cards a little sparkle! 😉
Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a fabulous weekend!
