Good morning! Emily Midgett here with you today sharing some inspiration using some of the newest goodies from the Brie Mine release! I just adored the sentiment from the Friendship stamp set. Some of my closest friends are scattered all over the country, so this particular sentiment really struck me, and I wanted to make it a focal point on a card. Let’s get started with the details!

I began by die cutting one of the new Scalloped Heart dies from some heavyweight vellum. I had a pretty alcohol ink panel that I wanted to use as a background, (I tend to make up a bunch of them and then I have several choices ready when I want a pretty background) so vellum was a perfect way to highlight the fantastic sentiment without losing too much of the pretty, marbled background. I heat embossed the sentiment from Friendship onto the vellum using white embossing powder, then created began working on my card layout.

I wanted to make sure that the sentiment was the focal point of the card, so I offset the heart a bit, allowing it to spill over the edge and trimming the side. To adhere the vellum heart (vellum can be so tricky), I first adhered some gems to the heart, then flipped over the vellum heart and added dots of adhesive to the back where the gems had already been adhered. This allowed me to partially hide the adhesive (and some of the adhesive did squish out a bit on the sides). I added a strip of silver glitter paper and a strip of purple foil to the side to bring out the metallic silver in the alcohol ink background and called it good!

Well, that’s all for this project! I am absolutely loving the new Brie Mine release. The Design Team has come up with some darling projects using the new products, and I can’t wait to play with them even more! Thanks so much for reading, and have a marvelous day!
