Hi there, Beehive friends! It’s Bobbi Lemanski (@bobbihartdesign) here. It’s no secret that I love clear acetate. I think it’s such a fun product to incorporate into card designs. Today, I’m using acetate as a pocket for my tropical floral birthday card. I’m using the following Honey Bee Stamps products on my card:

Tropical Bouquets die set

A2 Burlap Cover Plate

Paradise Blooms stamp set

Pocket Full of Love stamp set

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I started by cutting two sheets of acetate measuring 5″ X 7″ and sewing them together leaving one 7″ long side open. I used pink thread for this card. I cut a white card base measuring 9″ X 6″ and scored down the center to make a 4-1/2″ X 6″ card base from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock.

Next, I die cut the flowers and leaves from the Tropical Bouquets die set and the burlap background using the A2 Burlap Cover Plate. I attached the tan burlap, greenery and flower to the card base and more flowers and greenery to the outside of the clear acetate pocket. I made sure they layered nicely together when the card was inside the pocket. The white flower on the card base is actually hidden when the two are layered together.

Inside the card, I stamped the leaves and blooms from the Paradise Blooms stamp set and the phrase from Pocket Full of Love stamp set. I added accent dots in black around the flowers to finish the inside.

Lastly, I added the “for you” tag embossed in white on fuchsia paper and stitched it in place on the outside of the acetate pocket. This card is ready to send!
