…for teacher thank you cards!
Well, almost. Emily Midgett here with you today to share some end-of-the-year inspiration for you. We aren’t there yet…. But we are rapidly approaching the end of the year, my kiddos’ first year in preschool and the first time I’ve ever needed things with apples on them. (I’m so excited! I always wanted to be that mom with the handmade teacher gifts. Teehee!) Since my kiddos have two teachers, I made two cards. Simple, clean, with a pop of color. What more do you need?
To start, I stamped one of the apples from Bushel and a Peck onto white, Copic-friendly card stock using Copic-friendly ink. (Because I made two of the same card, just assume that I made two of everything that I mention. ;)) I die cut the apples and some leaves with the coordinating dies, then colored them with my Copic markers in shades of red and green.
Next, I die cut some stitched frames from white card stock using the Double Stitched Square dies. I also die cut some lovely “thanks” die cuts using the Thanks and Giving die set, cut from red foil and green shimmer paper. I adhered them to the bottom of the white frames, then adhered them to the A2 card base using foam adhesive.
After adding the frames, I added the apples to the center of the frames, also using dimensional foam adhesive. The final step was to add some Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the apples to make them nice and shiny, like the real ones you would want to give your teacher!
Clean, simple… perfect for mass production if you have lots more than just two teachers!
Well, that’s all for me today. Have a marvelous weekend!!
