Happy Tuesday, Honey Bee friends!! Brenda here with you today!! I’m still over here dreaming about being on vacation at the beach!! It’s been crazy hot here in the Midwest this week, so I guess the pool will have to do…ha!!
I began by die-cutting all the components for my scene from aqua, pink, yellow, white and holograhic cardstock using the Lovely Layers: At the Beach Die Set. The palm trees were cut from green and brown cardstock using the Lovely Layers: Hammock Die Set. Beeluxe Blending Brushes were used with dye inks to add shading to all of the die-cuts and they were adhered together with Bee Creative Glue. I used my finger to swipe brown ink onto the hat and basket to keep the dimension from the debossed details.
For the background, I die-cut the sand in the Beach Break A2 Cover Plate Die Set from cream cardstock and the water from white cardstock. I blended the sand with Antique Linen, Tea Dye and Vintage Photo Distress Inks, using the Beach Break Stencil Set and blending brushes. The water portion was blended with Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks, also using the Beach Break Stencils, then it was adhered to the sand background with Bee Creative Glue. The palm trees, beach towel and accessories were adhered to the background, also using liquid glue.
The sentiment, from the Sunkissed Summer Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. It was cut out with the Coordinating Die and popped up with foam tape, to finish.
I decided to leave the palm trees and umbrella hanging off the edges and put it in a larger envelope. I’m really loving that look lately!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a great week and I’ll see you next Tuesday!!
