Hello, friends!! Brenda here today with a holiday card featuring goodies from the latest Holiday Wishes Release!! This candy cane is sooooo sweet…pun intended!! Ha!
I began by die-cutting the candy cane from the Lovely Layers: Candy Cane Honey Cut Set from pink polka dot pattern paper in the Pinstripes & Polka Dots: Holiday Paper Pad, red and white cardstock. The bow was cut from paper in the Gingham: Happy Hearts Paper Pad and the berries, holly and pine sprigs were die-cut from red and two shades of green cardstock.
For the background, I die-cut a panel of white cardstock with the second largest die in the Sweet Stacks: Rectangles Die Set and ran it through my die-cutting machine with the Snowflakes 3D Embossing Folder. I added a bit of Spun Sugar Distress Ink with a blending brush. Next, a piece of pattern paper from the Holiday Wishes Paper Pad was trimmed slightly smaller than A2 and adhered to panel of red cardstock. The panels were stacked and adhered together, then the die-cuts were arranged and adhered with Bee Creative Glue.
The sentiment, from the Holiday Treats Vintage Gift Box Add-on Stamp Set, was stamped onto white cardstock with red ink, then cut out with the Coordinating Die. It was stacked onto three more die-cuts that were cut from heavyweight white cardstock and adhered to the front of the card. Gems from the Holiday Wishes Gem Sticker Pack finish off the card and add a bit of sparkle.
