Happy new week my crafty friends! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio and I have this ‘sweet’ birthday card to share with you! I used (again) my favorite die set from the new release, Lovely Layers: Cupcakes & More die set.

For the background, I cut the cute blue pattern paper from Happy Hearts paper pad to A2 size and adhere it to the card base. To make the ‘table top’, I cut the wooden pattern from the Grain & Grunge paper pad to a strip and adhered it to the bottom. The sentiment is from the new Big Bold Birthday stamp set and I stamped it with both brown and red inks by masking off the ‘BIRTHDAY’ with a piece of washi tape.

All the die cuts I used are from the Lovely Layers: Cupcakes & More die set except the strawberry that is from the Lovely Layers: Strawberries. I cut them all out from various card stocks including pattern papers for the cupcake wrapper (from Happy Hearts paper pad) and the tall glass with ice creams (from Simply Spring paper pad). I simply assembled them (they are pretty straight forward but if need instruction, check out the layering guide here) and adhered them using both liquid and foam adhesives.

To finish off the card, I added some clay bits, clear glitter with Glossy Accents, and dew drops. Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful week!!
