Good morning Crafty friends!  Today I’d love to share with you a shaker Project Life filler card–that could also be used for an adorable greeting card, gift tag, or in Pocket Letters!  If you haven’t seen the gorgeous NEW stamp sets in the shop, then you MUST check them out and helps us create a BUZZZZ about Honey Bee Scraps!  My personal favorite, that you will most likely see my using a TON in the coming weeks, is “Sweet As Honey.”

I just ordered a Fuse tool to make my own shaker pockets and I am already hooked!  I also got some yummy new sequin “relish” from The Crafty Pickle etsy shop to use in my shakers.  That’s what I used to create the “honey” in the jar on my card!

Print

I cut my base layer in a yellow patterned paper to 3″x4″ and then the green layer to 2.5″x3.5″ and inked the edges of each in coordinating inks from Close to My Heart.  Then I adhered the green paper to the yellow matte at an angle.  I stamped, colored and cut out the larger bees in the set to fly above and next to the “sweet as honey” sentiment that I stamped directly onto my green paper.  I stamped the smaller bees and cut them out for little accents “stuck” in my shaker honey jar.  honeyjar2a

To make my honey jar I stamped the lid on patterned paper and cut it out and tied white and yellow twine around it. Then I stamped the jar on a slightly yellow neutral paper and used it under my Fuse pocket paper as a tracer.  I let my Fuse tool heat up at least 20 minutes before I try to use it. I used the pointy cutting tip and followed the line of the jar from lip, around the bottom and up the other side leaving the top of the jar “open” to put my shaker elements inside (the yellow sequins and the cut out stamped bees).  Then I fused the top shut and used a little double sided tape to attach it to the yellow stamped jar after having cut that out of my paper.  I attached the stamped paper lid with the twine bow with double sided foam squares, and then glued the whole piece down with double sided tape to my card.  honeyjar3aI hope you liked my use of “Sweet As Honey” and that you enjoy making some sweet projects yourself with this awesome stamp set!

Happy Stamping!
