Hey Crafty Bees!
Melissa here – I have some exciting news! Due to popular demand – I have decided to make the SVG Print and Cut files available for sale in my Etsy shop! I am making them available in two ways: you can purchase them alone as a digital set for $12.95 (each set includes the printable files, the cut files of the images and sentiments, and an outline for each die cut so you can cut and stamp directly on the die cut without the need for fussy cutting!) Secondly – they are available in my shop as a bundle with the corresponding stamp set! For $24.95 you can get the Honey Bee Scraps stamp set, and the matching SVG Print and Cut files! You can check them all out in my Etsy shop, here!
Here is a fun little sampling of ideas for using the SVG Print and Cut files! Felicia Humphries – one of my dear friends and Design Team members – created these lovely little Project Life embellishments using the SVG Print and Cut files. She cut out the “Outline” of several of the images and stamped directly on them and layered them to make some adorable hand-made embellishments!
For this first embellishment, I cut out the outline for the jar on both White cardstock, and thick vellum. I wanted to be able to see the stems “through” the Jar. I stamped the jar image onto the white cardstock as well as the vellum, using Close To My Heart ink in “Indian Corn Blue”. I then cut out the Flower bunch outline on the Silhouette and stamped the flowers in black so that I could color them in. I colored them in using Prismacolor colored pencils – blending two colors for each flower and stem. Once all of my pieces were completed, I adhered the flowers to the (white) base of the jar, and then used Liquid Glass from Close To My Heart to adhere the Vellum to the top of the jar so that it appeared that the stems were visible “through the glass”. I topped it all off with a tiny handmade jute bow for that added country flair.
This second piece was very simple. I love these little birds and the “Sweet little Moments” sentiment and I wanted to create a small embellishment with them. I decided to use paper punches to create this little piece. I first cut a base with the scalloped circle using a cute country patterned paper that matched the reds in the other embellishments. I then cut out a smaller scalloped circle to place on top. The first sprayed the paper with shimmer mist to give it a nice glitter. Once that was dry, I stamped the sweet little birds and sentiment onto the top piece and inked the edges of the top scallop. I colored in the little heart on the string hanging from the birds beak and topped it with a tiny touch of Wink of Stella (in Clear). Once complete, I used a pop-dot to create some dimension between the two pieces.
I hope that sharing these little embellishments with you gives you just a glimpse into the amazing possibilities you have with the stamps combined with the SVG files! Go check out all four sets in the collection in my Etsy shop!!
Until next time!
