Hello crafty friends! Nicki here today showcasing a simple Father’s Day card. I started by cutting 8 strips of card stock in different colors. Using one of the dies from the Basic Stitch Lines set by MFT, I ran each strip of card stock through my Big Shot to create the double stitch lines through the middle of each one. Then they were all adhered to the card stock base.

For the sentiment panel, I used two stamp sets, Happy Everything and Hand Lettered Alpha, two of the newest sets in the Honey Bee shop! I heat embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder. Then two horizontal stitch lines were added to help tie it all together. The panel is mounted to the base with foam tape.

THANK YOU for stopping by today! I hope you walk away with some inspiration to make your own Father’s Day cards! Have a great rest of your week!

Can the Alpha Stamps be used to create a single word in one go?

    • Hello Shubhi! They definitely could! I would recommend using a stamp placement tool such as a Misti or a stamping block that has a grid or lines on it so you can line it up perfectly. Keep in mind, too, that clear stamps have a “base” to them, or a “backing” if you will, which will create a little bit of a bumper around each stamp. So, the characters might be spaced out a little more if you stamp them all together in one go 🙂 This works great for the larger fonts and for headlines, etc…. but it will appear to be more spacing on the tiny fonts. I would say play around with it and see if you like the results! 🙂 Enjoy!
