wedding collage Happy Saturday!  Tabitha here, with a sweet little wedding card for a recipient near and dear to my heart: my little sister!  This time last week I was celebrating her wedding day and this is the card I made for her and her new husband.  I was inspired by her lakeside pavilion venue, and her country rustic theme.  Kraft paper and doilies are popular in wedding/party decor as well as in paper crafts– and it’s not hard to see why!   The sweet, simple, and shabby chic look that you can achieve for pennies is easy to adapt for a variety of purposes–anniversaries, birthdays, showers, and more. wedding3 I paired my doily and kraft paper with lace, golden yellow ribbon, and floral printed ribbon, all layered over a segment of floral embossed paper (created using my Cuttlebug and an embossing folder).  An offset cluster of Prima paper flowers and pearls gives the card more texture, dimension, and a focal point. wedding2 To finish the card, I added my “celebrate” sentiment stamp from the Honey Bee Scraps “Life Right Now” set.  I also used the heart with the arrow stamp to create a sweet little border across the bottom, all in Close to My Heart chocolate ink. The overall design for this card is very simple, but by layering the doily, ribbons, lace, and flower accents, in addition to the embossed paper, and the adorable touch of the Honey Bee Scraps stamps–you get a lot of texture, details, and layers that let the recipient know they are special.  This design can be changed to suit your needs based on the colors and ribbons you use.  Make it your own, and have fun stamping on this gorgeous Saturday!! Till next week, Happy Stamping! -Tabitha
