Good morning! Happy Friday! Emily here with you today with some springy inspiration…. it’s been bitterly cold around here, as with most of the country, I believe, and so I’m trying to channel some warmer temperatures with some pretty spring colors.
I started by stamping and die cutting the vase, blossoms, and some leaves from the Sweet as Honey stamp and die set using Copic-friendly ink. Pale pink and aqua are one of my most favorite springtime color combinations, so I used my Copic markers to color the images in some pretty pastel shades.
After I had finished coloring the images, I used the top stencil from the Hexi-Patterns with some light pink ink to add some light highlighting in the bottom right corner. I added the vase of flowers over the top of the stenciling using a combination of liquid and dimensional adhesive. For the greeting, I used the pretty sentiment dies in the Gift Card Slots die set. I die cut the sentiment three times from white card stock, then adhered them together to create a dimensional die cut. The “friend” is from the Sweet As Honey stamp set stamped on a thin strip of white card stock.
The final step was to add a few Cupcake Rhinestones to add some pretty feminine sparkle to the card!
Well, that’s all for me today! I hope you’re keeping warm wherever you are. Hopefully this card has made you think warm thoughts of lovely spring days even if it is snowy and cold outside! Have a marvelous weekend!
