Hello friends. It’s Bobbi Lemanski here to share some spring florals with you. A congratulatory card with bright flowers just hits right for positive vibes and happy feelings. My 5″ X 7″ card features the following products by Honey Bee Stamps:
Lovely Layers: Hydrangeas Honey Cuts dies
Lovely Layers: Dianthus Honey Cuts dies
Lovely Layers: Spring Greenery Honey Cuts dies
For the basics… my featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I started by splattering some watercolor paint on my card base. I used a combination of brown and black. I set the base aside to let it dry while I worked on the florals.
Using lavender, pink, green and white cardstock, I die cut the hydrangeas, dianthus and Queen Anne’s lace layers. I used my blender brushes and Copic Markers to add color to the petals. The hydrangea layers are really fun. I started darker on the bottom layer and continued to a lighter shade on the top layer. I splattered brown and white paint over the petal layers and added black Pearl Pen to the centers of the top blossoms (similar to Glossy Accents). I used Distress Oxide Ranger Inks in Villanous Potion, Seedless Preserves, and Peacock Feathers. For the Spring Greenery, I used and E42 and E50 Copic to add some shading to the white blossoms. For the dianthus blossoms, I added Picked Raspberry to a light pink cardstock as well as RV55 and RV02 Copic Marker Ink.

I assembled the individual florals, and cut two extra hydrangea leaves from white cardstock and colored them using shades of green (YG67, YG63 and YG61). I like the added variegated leaves with this ensemble. I attached the florals to the speckled card base using my Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue. I used Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for the hydrangea blossom to make it stand out a little more.

The last thing I needed was a nice sentiment or word. I chose “congratulations” from the Foil Script: Wishes Hot Foil Plate and Honey Cuts Dies. Hey here’s a deal. This sentiment set is only $9.00 while supplies last. If this one is sold out, look at this next set. It’s another fabulous set with a big “congrats” in it. The set is called, “Thinking of you Big Time” stamps and coordinating Honey Cuts dies. I inked my sentiment using silver foil. Silver embossing powder could also be used with the big time set
So that’s a wrap on this floral card. I love these beautiful florals by Honey Bee Stamps. They are so gorgeous and fun to work with, too. Every card is simply beautiful with these blossoms!
