Hi crafty friends!
It’s Rowena and today I have the absolute pleasure of guest designing on the Honey Bee Stamps blog. I’m beyond excited and thrilled to be sharing this card with you all.
For today’s card, I’m featuring the ‘Hey, Pumpkin‘ stamp set. This stamp is so cute and versitile, it’s perfect for any occasions.
So let’s get started!!! I like to start my cards by creating the background first. This gives me an idea on what direction my project will be. It also gives me an idea of what to color my images.
I created my nighttime scene by blending four colors of Distress Inks (antique linen, tattered rose, seedless preserved, and chipped sapphire), working from light to dark. I also added white dots here and there using a white gel pen for the stars.
I then stamped the trees on my panel by inking only the tree portion of the stamp. I added black copic marker to fill in the trunks and some of the branches.
For my grass, I also blended Distress Inks (twisted citron, mowed lawn, and peeled paint).
I stamped all my images with a copic friendly ink (Memento Tuxedo) and colored all my images with copics.
Once all my elements where complete, I fussy cut my images and added foam tape to add some dimension and adhered it to my panel. This set came with a matching die but for this project, I wanted just the girl and the cat sitting on the pumpkin.
I just want to say ‘thank you’ again for having me guest design today! Please follow me on Instagram & until next time and happy crafting!!!
