Sorry Things Are Prickly

Hey there, crafty Friends! Melissa B here with you to kick off this new week. My card from last week featured the cactus from No Probllama. I had stamped and die-cut a few extras and thought I’d use another one on a card for today. This was a super quick and easy card to create and I’m loving all the white space with pops of color. Let’s jump right in!

I started by simply attaching my cactus to the front of a white card base with dimensional foam. To embellish it a bit, I added a few die-cut flowers from the Birds and The Bees stamp set. I used these Copic colors to color the flowers in and the cactus … R11, RV23, Y35 and YG06. I attached the flowers and then added a few tiny sequins to the centers of each one.

Now for the sentiment! The sorry was die-cut using the new With Sympathy Honey Cuts. The shadow was cut in white and sorry cut in black. After adhering them together I added dimensional foam and attached it just underneath the cactus. To complete it, I added a sentiment from an older Honey Bee set, Prickly Sentiments. I just love when older sets work perfectly with newer ones, don’t you?
