Hello there sweet honey bees and happy Tuesday. Lydia here with you today.
I am still in love with messy watercolour but this week I wanted to share a card that has a softer look.
I used the Sweet As Honey set for my card. To start I white heat embossed the flowers and leaves from the set onto some watercolour card. I stamped from the top and stopped about halfway, staggering where the floral images ended.
I covered the watercolour card with fresh clean water and then dropped in some Distress Ink to the places I wanted the colour to be, (Picked Raspberry for the petals, Wild Honey to the centre of the flowers and Mowed Lawn for the leaves.). I didn’t add to much ink as I wanted a soft wash look. To give it more of a ‘wash’ look I sprayed the piece with fresh clean water and this then helped soften the colours and help the blend and bleed down the page.
I made the sentiment using the same set and stamped it onto a piece of black card and heat set it using white embossing powder. I added some black thread behind it before adhering it and added some clear sequins to finish.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I’ll see you again soon.
Hugs, Lydia x
